Searcy statue in works There were days Terry Searcy wasn't sure if the local effort to raise money for a statue of his late nephew, Cpl. J.R. Searcy, would succeed.
Searcy, along with Mark Ouchley and others, have spent months conducting fund-raisers to raise money for the statue, which will be placed at a new parish library that is under construction on La. 34 in western Ouachita Parish.
