Wellspring lands DOJ grant

The Justice Department has awarded The Wellspring a two-year, $399,992 grant for continued services to victims of domestic violence.

Judy Bell, president of The Wellspring, which oversees operations at the Family Justice Center in Monroe, told the Ouachita Parish Police Jury about the grant during the police jury's regular meeting Monday.

The Family Justice Center is a one-stop service center for free, confidential services for those dealing with domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.
