Chamber receives development award
The West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber recently received an Excellence in Economic Development Award for its "A Framework for Understanding Poverty" in the category of Partnerships with Educational Institutions.
The award was given to communities with populations of less than 25,000 by the International Economic Development Council.
The award was presented at a ceremony on Sept. 28 during the IEDC Annual Conference in Columbus, Ohio.
