Boys and Girls Club artwork on display More than 100 local boys and girls who took part in an eight-week art course at the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Louisiana now have their art work on display at Ouachita Parish Library.
Children ages 5 through 15 participated in the club's Summer Artfest 2010, where they took part in hands-on art projects and found new ways to express their creativity, according to Lynn May, education and art director at the club.
"Art allows the opportunity for children to express themselves while enhancing the club environment for all to enjoy," she said. "Many thanks goes to the Louisiana Division of Arts, directed by the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council, which funded our artfest." .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
