River Oaks preps for Riverfield The River Oaks Mustangs (5-1) suffered their first loss of the 2010 season last week at Trinity Episcopal School, 42-21. The Mustangs now look to bounce back in the win column with an important district game at home versus the Riverfield Raiders of Rayville.
Last week against Trinity Episcopal, River Oaks had their poorest offensive showing of the season as they turned the ball over three times gave up 323 yards passing to Trinity Episcopal.
The Mustangs had turned the ball over just twice in the first five games combined but were not as fortunate against a physical Saints squad. Quarterback Ryan McGregor was pressured in the backfield all night and completed just 7-of-17 passes for 83 yards and three interceptions.
