In thinking about God, and the Bible, we've talked about time, force, action, space, and the matter (Genesis 1:1)…everything being animal, vegetable, mineral (Genesis 1:1-31)…the fact that the earth is round (Isaiah 40:22 and Proverbs 8:27-28) and now for another "shocker."

This entire wonder-filled, complex earth is "suspended on nothing!"

You may have read or heard some of the far-out theories advanced by people long ago…before anything like modern scientific equipment existed. One idea was that the earth rests on the back of a huge elephant, whose feet were resting on four giant turtles floating in a limitless sea…or you may remember one idea that gained some believers that Atlas held the world on his great shoulders…etc…
