'Turnovers cost us'

The Ouachita Christian School Eagles (1-2) will be back in action this Friday at Eagle Stadium when they host the Homer Pelicans (2-1) at 7 p.m.

OCS is coming off a 34-28 loss at rival Sterlington last week in which the Eagles committed four turnovers that eventually led to Sterlington controlling the clock and winning the game in the second half.

"Turnovers cost us," OCS head coach Steven Fitzhugh said. "We preached to them all week to take care of the football and when you play a close rival game like this the stat that will determine the outcome of the game 90 percent of the time is turnovers."
