A cooperative water sweep event will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18.
Boaters and recreational enthusiasts are urged to attend.

Once trash is picked up, boat up to the Corps of Engineer barge traveling between the Twin Cities and drop your bagged trash. Dumpsters will be provided at the Bawcomville Rec. Area, Lazarre Point, Forsythe Park, Moon Lake Rec. Area and the Sterlington Rec. Area for shoreline cleanup.

T-shirts will be given out while supplies last. Door prizes will be awarded.

The effort is a collaboration between Keep West Monroe Beautiful, Keep Monroe Beautiful, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Louisiana Field Office of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District.
