Classes resumed Monday at West Ouachita High School with additional counselors and personnel on hand to help students deal with last week's tragic events, said Ouachita Parish Schools Superintendent Bob Webber.

One of those tragic events involved the homicide of two western Ouachita Parish residents whose son, a West Ouachita High School student, was indicted by a grand jury Monday afternoon on two counts of second-degree murder.

The indicted — Dalton Fletcher, age 15 — is accused of fatally shooting his parents, Johnny Fletcher, 50, and Tammy Fletcher, 41. The double homicide occurred in the Fletcher home in the 100 block of Mount Vernon Church Road.
