Police jury approves small sign ordinance

After months of discussion, the Ouachita Parish Police Jury signed off on a small sign ordinance Monday during the Police Jury's regular meeting.

Police juror Pat Moore first brought the matter before the Police Jury months ago.

Moore said on several occasions her ordinance was intended to help clean up Ouachita Parish. She believes the abundance of signs along roadways, on telephone poles and trees has become an eyesore.
