The Ouachita Parish Police Jury is discussing the possibility of contracting with North Delta Regional Planning and Development District to provide grant writing services for the parish.
The issue of employing a grant writer for the Police Jury is one Police Juror Pat Moore has requested for several months.

According to parish treasurer Brad Cammack, if an agreement is worked out between North Delta and the Police Jury, North Delta would hire an additional person to provide grant writing services for the Police Jury.

He said David Creed with North Delta has talked with several people who are interested in the job.
