"Unless we have in us who is above us, we will be overcome by what is around us, and we will fall to that which is below us."

These words were used in The Faith Forum message as we prayed for little 2-year-old Katie Joyce who has had all of our community praying on their knees because of the brain surgery she has just endured at St. Jude's. The surgery lasted more than seven hours and the team cried when it was over because they believed they were working with the help of the Holy Spirit. This is Jeff and Katherine's little child who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. The outlook is highly positive. Please keep the prayers going for all the Jeff Joyce family.

Thomas Jefferson wrote, "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

Martha Jane Anderson retired from University of Louisiana-Monroe after 35 years of service as Assistant Dean of Students and SGA Advisor. She is married to Patrick H. Anderson Sr., has two children, and four grandchildren.
