'Curtains' to open season at Strauss Theatre Center The Strauss Theatre opens it's 79th season on Sept. 16 with the Broadway musical whodunit "Curtains."
Based on the book and concept by Peter Stone, the musical is a send-up of backstage murder mystery plots, set in 1959 Boston, Mass., and follows the fallout when the supremely untalented star of "Robbin' Hood of the Old West" is murdered during her opening night curtain call. Show dates are Sept. 16-19 and Sept. 23-26.
Curtain times for evening performances are 7 p.m., and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. Admission is by season membership or by purchasing individual show tickets at $20 each for adults and $10 for students. "Curtains" is produced by Signs Now and through a grant from the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council. .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
