The NAACP Louisiana State Conference of Adult Branches, Youth Councils, and College Chapters will hold its 68th Annual State Convention on Sept. 16-19 in Monroe.

The convention will be held at the Lone Wa Missionary Baptist Church, located at 716 MLK Drive in Monroe. The theme for the Convention is "ONE NATION-ONE DREAM".

Some of the Convention highlights will feature a Religious Leaders Summit on Thursday, Sept. 16; the Louisiana Education System Town Hall meeting with a specific focus on the plight of Historical Black Colleges and Universities on Friday, Sept. 17; and a USDA Rural Development Programs seminar with Dr. Joe Leonard, assistant secretary of USDA Division of Civil Rights on Saturday, Sept. 18.
