Parish classrooms to get Smart Boards

Officials with Ouachita Parish Schools hope to one day have a Smart Board in every classroom, and on Tuesday, the school board took the first step in realizing that goal.

Acting on School Board member A.R. "Red" Sims' motion during Tuesday's regular meeting, the school board authorized the parish school system to purchase a Smart Board for every school in the parish.

Sims' motion was unanimously approved.
