Grad student earns award A University of Louisiana-Monroe graduate student in the College of Pharmacy recently received the 2010 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists Lipid Based Drug Delivery Graduate Student Award.
The award, which focuses on recent significant contributions to the science brought about by highly innovative research, was given to Hazem Ali of Mansoura, Egypt, for his work with Assistant Professor of Basic Pharmaceutical Science Sami Nazzal.
"This award represents a very competitive and prestigious honor," said Nazzal. "Hazem is an excellent student researcher, and this recognition is well deserved."
To be eligible for the award, interested candidates must be engaged in their final year of graduate studies leading to PhD degree. As this year's recipient, Ali will present his research at the 2010 FIP PSWC/AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition, Nov. 14-18, in New Orleans.
He will receive $1000 and a commemorative plaque, both of which will be presented to him during the opening ceremonies. For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
