posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The American Red Cross of Northeast Louisiana will provide flu and pneumonia shots Thursday, Sept. 16 at the Red Cross facility, located at 414 Breard Street.

The shots will be offered from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This is an all-in-one flu shot which covers seasonal flu and HINl. Pneumonia shots will also be available.

The flu shot is the best way to protect yourself from the flu. Everyone can benefit from the flu shot, but those most at risk from the flu include individuals 65 and over, those with diseases of the immune system or those in general ill health.

The flu shot takes very little time, is relatively painless and there is nothing in current flu shots that can give you the flu.

Flu shots will be free to those who bring their Medicare Part B card or $25 for those without Medicare Part B.

Pneumonia vaccinations will also be available.

They are also free to those who bring their Medicare Part B card or $30 for those without Medicare Part B.

The Red Cross serves the parishes of Caldwell, East Carroll, Franklin, Jackson, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Tensas, Union and West Carroll.
