Chiefs break in new turf field

The West Ouachita Chiefs (0-1) will be back on the field Friday night when they host the Winnfield Tigers (1-0) at Sims Stadium in Cadeville.

The game will mark the first game on the new turf surface installed at Sims stadium this season.

The Chiefs struggled in their season opener en route to a 38-21 loss at Pineville High School last week. West Ouachita quarterback Kodi Tidwell completed 3-of-11 pass attempts for 116 yards and a touchdown as the Chiefs briefly got their passing offense working against the stingy Pineville defense.
