Monroe Transit adds community college route

Monroe Transit created a new route to serve Louisiana Delta Community College students needing transportation to the new campus on Millhaven Road.

The route, made possible by funding from JARC (Job Access Reverse Commute), a program designed to provide transportation to and from employment and employee training destinations, runs Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The first bus leaves the downtown Monroe Transit Terminal at 7 a.m., arriving at Delta at 7:20 a.m., with buses arriving on campus every 45 minutes until the final departure around 5:40 pm.
