Long-time rivals square off

Two of the most storied programs in the area will renew their long-standing rivalry this Friday night when the Ouachita Lions host the Neville Tigers at Lions Stadium in Monroe.

Both teams are coming off convincing jamboree victories that saw Neville down Bastrop 27-6 at ULM's Bayou Jamb event while Ouachita blasted past West Ouachita 31-0 at the "Jamb at the Joe" event at Louisiana Tech University.

The two teams have won numerous state championships between them. Neville is the defending Class 4A state champions after a 31-15 victory over Franklinton.
