Lions QB to take on more duties
 The Ouachita Lions return 34 lettermen this season after making the second round of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 5A playoffs last season.
The Lions finished the season 8-4 with a 6-1 mark in district 1-5A where they finished second to defending state champion West Monroe. The Lions beat West Jefferson High School 27-13 in the first round before losing to Central-Baton Rouge 29-28 in the regional round.
Ouachita returns quarterback Quentin Wheeler, who will make his second consecutive season as the starting quarterback.
