Panthers coach likes young team's work ethic

The Sterlington Panthers come into the 2010 season with a cloud of inexperience covering much of their varsity roster.

As the team reported to fall practice this month with roughly 50 players on the varsity squad, just 15 of those players were returning varsity players.

Thirty-five freshman and sophomore players will dress for the Panthers this season. Even with the youngest team in district 2-2A this season, head coach Mike Collins enters his fourth season as Sterlington head coach liking the effort of the young players.
