Enrollment at Ouachita Parish Schools increased over the past several years, and school officials say this year's enrollment figures are no different.

According to Superintendent Dr. Bob Webber, more than 265 new students enrolled in parish schools for the start of the 2010-11 school year.

"It's up considerably, and we had to add a few teachers in several of the schools, but we're in good shape," Webber said. "We're real pleased with everything so far. We're off to a good start and things are going well."
