Martin takes third in worldwide Elvis competition
Local Elvis tribute artist Todd Martin recently returned home from Memphis, Tenn., where he was once again selected as the third best Elvis tribute artist in the world.
This marks the third time Martin has placed third in the Images of the King World Championship Contest, where about 100 Elvis tribute artists from around the world competed.
In the 24 years since this contest has been held, Martin may be the only contestant to place third three separate times.
"I'm the only one I can think of … there may have been one before … we were trying to think of it on the way home. It's been around 24 years, and we couldn't think of one, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened before," Martin said.
