Two RR crossings slated for closure
Kansas City Southern Railway Co. has plans to close two railroad crossings in West Monroe.
One is the Plum Street crossing while the other one is on Second Street by the old First Methodist Church.
According to West Monroe Mayor Dave Norris, KCS had plans to close several railroad crossings in the city limits.
"They don't have to ask us," Norris said. "They just can do it."
