RCHSC campaign looks to promote senior adoptions During the month of September, River Cities Humane Society for Cats in Monroe will sponsor an adopt a senior cat campaign to encourage people to consider adopting senior pets.
According to Claudia Long with River Cities Humane Society for Cats, in northeast Louisiana, the shelters are full of older cats and dogs waiting for homes.
"These wonderful, adoptable pets are often overlooked when there are cute, cuddly and playful kittens and puppies nearby," Long said.
