Tech Happening XXVIII kicks off new season

The Louisiana Tech Athletic Department kicked off the 2010 football season in style last Thursday at the Monroe Civic Center. More than 1,200 Tech supporters gathered inside the Monroe Civic Center Arena to hear remarks from featured guests such as Louisiana Tech President Dr. Dan Reneau, head football coach Sonny Dykes and Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw.

Bradshaw was making his first appearance at the "Happening" in many years and fans were excited to hear the local football legend give his take on the current direction of the football program.
Bradshaw admitted that he was more nervous about speaking at the local event than any national appearance he has made.

"I can get up in front of 25,000 strangers and knock them dead," Bradshaw said. "But this is all family and this has got me scared to death."
