Turf Installaion slowed by rains
Construction on the West Ouachita High School football field continues to inch toward completion this month.
Recent inclement weather has slowed the construction efforts, leaving some in the parish worried that the new turf surface at Red Sims Stadium will not be ready to go when West Ouachita hosts Winnfield on Sept. 10.
A scrimmage is also set at the stadium — on Aug. 20 — with Farmerville High School and Delhi Charter School.
