Chennault looks to more growth on horizon as it celebrates 10 years

Much has changed in the 10 years since Chennault Aviation and Military Museum opened, and museum officials say there are bigger plans on the horizon.

This month, construction on the museum's Aircraft Restoration Building is scheduled to begin. That project is expected to be completed by January. It's projected to cost $175,200. The state provided funding for the project.

An even bigger project is the proposed $5.25 million Chennault Flying Tigers Building.
U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-Quitman, currently has an appropriations request before the Congress to secure funding for the project.
