Calhoun hunts more money for Cadeville water project

Ouachita Parish police juror Mack Calhoun has requested the police jury secure $35,000 from another round of LGAP funding for a project in his district.

Earlier this summer, Calhoun took issue with the amount of LGAP funding his district received for a backup generator for Cadeville Water District in western Ouachita Parish.
The parish was awarded $140,000 in LGAP funding earlier this summer for various projects in the parish.

Calhoun had originally requested $35,000 for Cadeville Water District to buy a backup generator, but only received some $5,000 toward the purchase.
