What's old is new at WOSC

At the West Ouachita Senior Center, what's old is new for a group of ladies who are recycling used items and making them into ornaments, fashionable accessories and usable wares.

A group of 10 women started the project roughly one year ago. Today, they're proud to say the items they have made from used light bulbs, fabric and other bits and pieces have become a hot commodity.

People have even approached them wanting to buy the items, instructor Dot Sims said.
The group meets from 9 a.m. to noon every Tuesday at the senior center.
