Chamber conference focuses on issue of childhood obesity
One of the next big projects for the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce will be helping the Ouachita Parish School System tackle the issue of childhood obesity.
The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at the West Monroe Convention Center. It will be sponsored by Community Trust Bank.
West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber president Mary Ann Newton said there a number of speakers scheduled for the event.
