Phillip Adderley, a board certified genealogist, will provide genealogical research training on Aug, 7, 2010, in the Louis Locke room of the Ouachita Parish Library located on Stubbs Avenue in Monroe.

This training will begin at 9 a.m., and will include two 75-minute sessions each, one in the morning and the afternoon.

The topics are: Jacob Bodenheimer's Hidden Cotton, "Mining" Land Records in Northern Louisiana, Curious George-Unmasking Portuguese (and Spanish) Ancestry in Anglican Baptismal Registers, and "Finding Jim's Mary, a World War II Sweetheart."
