Zoo hosts scouting roundup
Girls grade K-12, and their family and friends, are invited to participate in the fourth annual Girl Scout round-up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo.
Activities and entertainment will include inflatable jumpers, face painting, local middle school drill teams, Order of Arrow dancers, and free hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn and drinks.
Girls wearing a Girl Scout vest, sash or T-shirt and girls joining Girl Scouts that day will receive free admission into the zoofor the event.
