Youth football camp makes big impact
Some of the future stars of the local football gridiron worked out at Riverbend Elementary in West Monroe on Saturday morning during the third annual Rise-N-Shine Jr. Football Training Camp hosted by the Rise-N-Shine organization.
Rise-N-Shine was established by DJ Davis as an organization that uses football as a foundation for teaching boys ages 5-12 life skills such as self-motivation, team work, respect for self as well as respect for others.
The organization also provides physical, spiritual and emotional support for the boys who come through the program.
