Opposition to busing surfaces
Some longtime West Monroe residents are not pleased with the news that Monroe Transit System may establish a bus route to connect the Twin Cities.
That's according to former West Monroe Mayor Bert Hatten, who said he's heard from several longtime residents of West Monroe who aren't in favor of a proposal to extend Monroe Transit's services to West Monroe.
The Ouachita Citizen first reported last week that Monroe Transit officials had met with city of West Monroe officials about the possibility of providing a bus route through West Monroe.
