Arrest made in West Monroe homicide
West Monroe Police arrested a local man Wednesday afternoon and charged him with negligent homicide of an elderly woman.
Police arrested JaMarvin Jackson, 19, of 106 Contempo St. in West Monroe, on charges of negligent homicide, violation of a protection order and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
According to Maj. Jerry Stansbury, West Monroe police were notified around 3 a.m. Tuesday of gunfire in the Parkwest Drive area.
