Hope all had a wonderful 4th of July! We watched the Washington fireworks on the television and they were truly beautiful. Our local fireworks were gorgeous. Mike and I can sit on our patio and it is like a front row seat: they spill over, high in the sky, seemingly into our gardens. It really is just beautiful. If Laura and George Bush were visiting in the Twin Cities and were here for this celebration, they would bring them to our house to view the fireworks. Thank you to our Monroe Jaycees and CenturyLink. I don't know anyone who does not like fireworks but maybe our dog
Ruby.

Speaking of CenturyLink, they used to be sponsors of Georgia Tucker. There is still a plaque, on the lovely old building, with their name. Would that not be an amazing thing for CenturyLink to do: restore the old girl, and turn her into a community center. Just dream of the wonderful things that could be! Exhibits, lovely old fashion children gardens, art shows. It really should be the Junior League House. They could make and save so much money with in house Spring Market, renting out the fabulous auditorium for receptions, art shows, weddings, I could go on and on. If we had just the right person, this could happen.
