Candidates for this fall's Monroe City Court judge's race participated in a forum Wednesday hosted by the Ad and Press Club of Northeast Louisiana.

The forum was held at the Atrium Hotel. Monroe attorneys Laurie Burkett, no party; Charles Heck Jr., Republican; and Jeff Joyce, no party, are running for a vacant seat on the Monroe City Court bench.
The primary election is Oct. 2.
