Moore pleads for help
The recidivism rate at Ouachita Correctional Center remains a concern and parish officials must get a handle on it soon.
That's according to Ouachita Parish police juror Pat Moore, who briefly discussed the issue Tuesday during the police jury's regular meeting.
According to OCC warden Brian Newcomer, the recidivism rate at OCC is around 85 percent, which is well above the national average.
