MedCamp receives $5,000 grant Med-Camps of Louisiana, a non-profit organization that provides recreational camping opportunities and medical education programs to children facing the challenges of various physical and mental disabilities, was recently awarded a $5,000 grant by the Plum Creek Foundation.
Funds will support the purchase of audio/visual equipment in order to directly enhance current medical education programs for campers and better equip them with the knowledge necessary to effectively manage their individual medical needs and conditions.
"By supporting this program, Plum Creek has greatly impacted the health and well being of children living in the state of Louisiana with special medical needs," said Caleb Seney, executive director for Med-Camps of Louisiana. "Our mission is to increase the overall health of our campers by increasing their individual levels of personal medical care.
