Calhoun students hold all-classes reunion
Calhoun High School graduates and former students gathered recently for an all-classes reunion at West Monroe Convention Center. The school, organized in 1914, was closed in 1989.
Scholarship winners were introduced. They are Kristi Butler, daughter of Margaret Golson Butler ('80), Macey Dalrymple, granddaughter of Dr. Jack Golson ('41) and Dorothy Wright Golson ('42), and Fletcher Marsh, son of Deborah Beasley Marsh ('82).
"Golden Oldies" were treated to a special luncheon. Among those attending were Edna Hinton Audirsch ('36), Nora Brakefield Sackman ('38), Arvil Malone ('38), Marie Weems Medak ('38) and Mittie Walters Williams ('41).
