Junior Olympic track meet comes to area
Ouachita Parish will be the center of the Junior Olympic universe beginning today when the Region Six Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships begin at Groseclose Track Complex at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
Fifty teams from across the south will be competing at the four-day event in which the top performers advance to the Junior Olympic National Championships in Sacramento, Calif. next month.
