Seventy-nine years ago this country of ours adopted a National Anthem…The Star Spangled Banner, written by Francis Scott Key on September 14, 1814.

We often hear the first stanza, sung at ball games, etc., but never the whole thing. Today we are presenting to our readers a complete, frame-worthy copy of our National Anthem.

When we read every word of this wonderful anthem, we can almost visualize "the bombs bursting in air…the rockets red glare" and through the smoke and the haze, the star spangled banner still waving.
