It is a grand old flag, it is a high flying flag.. la, la, la! Happy 4th of July! IN GOD WE TRUST! This is a time for a patriotic celebration of faith, family and freedom! It is hot but as the old timers said "the cotton is growing."

Now I guess we will have to say the corn and  soy beans are growing. One thing for sure, we know, in this life is change. I miss seeing them ole cotton fields back home. Hay, that has a nice ring to it, maybe we should write a song about that.

For this 4th of July we will go to our church, thank the Lord for all our blessings and spend the day with family and lots of grandchildren. There will be lots of swimming and splashing. Our pool is under a big beautiful old Pin Oak, that we have professionally pruned every other year, so we have filtered sunlight. With the shade, this pool is nice and cool and very refreshing in this hot weather. Most people, they say, sell a house to get rid of the pool. MIKE CAGE said those are people who are couch potatoes and do not go outside or work in  the yard. Get really hot, jump in a cool pool, totally refreshing. We love our pool and use it all summer.
