Weekly devotional and church listings: June 24, 2010 By Andy Grant Andygrant1946@yahoo.com
As we celebrate the fourth of July we all need to remember that the majority of our forefathers were Christians. Many of our presidents have been Christians and led the country through Christian examples.
Of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, 52 out of the 55 were orthodox, deeply committed Christians and the other three believed in the Bible as the Divine Truth. It is my understanding that this same continental congress formed the American Bible Society. Upon doing this they decided to purchase and import 20,000 copies of Scripture for the people of this nation. This all happened in 1776.
