Cultura gathers at local restaurant

Excitement ran high when members of Cultura Book Club received an individually painted water color card as a reminder of the club's annual summer outing. The cards were painted by Peggy Henderson. The event was held at Cypress Inn on the Bayou on June 22.
Members and guests were welcomed by club president Sue Greer. Members and guests attending were Linda Armstrong, Julia Sers, Loyce Whitlock, Sue Crew, Jack Dement, Jean Rugg, Hodge Garrett, Emma and Stanley Burkett, Mary and Ralph Reed, Angie and Jim Jones, Jean and Don Halsell, Annette and Charlie Bedgood, Pat and Max Funderburk, Sue Greer, Barbara Ewing, Kitty and Harry Liner, Pat and Billy McClendon, Clara and Jerry Sikes, Hattie Watson, Susie Sikes, and Pat and Edward Valentine.
Pat Funderburk chose this time to present Linda Armstrong, past president, with a beautiful scrapbook showing pictures and memorabilia from the past year of club meetings and activities. |
