Smith to retire after 40 years
Norene Smith, regional director of the Northeast Louisiana Technical College, will retire April 1, 2011, after 40 years of service.
The Region 8 Louisiana Technical College campus is located in West Ouachita Industrial Park.
Smith recently gave her letter of intent to retire to Louisiana Technical College officials.
"It's been 40 years, and I believe that is enough," Smith said. "I want to go home and enjoy what years I have left and enjoy my grandchildren."
