Solons worry about 2011
Local legislators breathed a sigh of relief this week after completing what they describe as a difficult legislative session, but several area lawmakers are concerned with the financial woes the state faces next year.
The two issues that overshadowed the legislative session that adjourned Monday were the budget problems and the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, said Sen. Mike Walsworth.
"Regretfully, we are going to have to use some one-time money to continue some services," said Walsworth, R-West Monroe.
