Funding provides for WOSC expansion
Tuesday night West Ouachita Senior Center director Jeanette Ellington felt like a little girl waiting for Santa Claus to stop by her house.
She could hardly sleep that night because she wanted to share the news of the senior center landing some $1 million in state funding for an expansion project.
On Wednesday, she broke the news to dozens of local seniors packed into the West Ouachita Senior Center for their annual membership meeting.
